Start with the Daily Pages, notably the Daily Big 3. This is the fastest way to get momentum quickly and start seeing results almost immediately. We will be taking you step by step through all the features of the Planner. Over the course of the four sessions, you will integrate them into your lifestyle. The goal is progress, not perfection.
The Full Focus Planner is designed to incorporate both your work and personal goals, commitments, tasks, and priorities into a single system. Therefore, your annual goals, Monthly Calendar pages, Weekly Big 3 and Daily Big 3, and Weekly and Quarterly Previews will contain both work and personal items.
The Full Focus Planner’s quarterly design is intentional. That’s because life and business priorities frequently change. By reviewing and rewriting annual goals each quarter, we’re forced to reexamine them and either recommit to them, revise, replace, or remove them. It’s the same with calendar commitments, the Ideal Week, and daily rituals. Quarterly review and rewriting reinforces our commitment to these priorities and allows us to adjust as needed.
We will provide all the instructions you need by email once you complete your registration. All your course information is contained in our member portal. You will be provided with your login credentials. Keep an eye out in your inbox for messages from us. If you don't see anything, please check your junk/spam folder. Everybody makes mistakes! That’s how we learn and grow. The best way to get started is to start using the Daily Pages, especially the Daily Big 3. You’ll learn as you go through each of the 4 sessions of our training. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get coaching. Damian is also available for additional 1:1 mentoring sessions if needed. When you begin doing a Weekly Preview, you’ll find a ready-made process to help you capture that learning and make intentional changes. We will also be connecting you with over 25,000 other Full Focus Planner users around the world in an online community as another support resource.
We recommend having a maximum of four personal goals and four business goals at any one time, for a total of eight. That constraint amplifies your focus and prevents you from becoming overwhelmed. Setting fewer than eight goals may be a better course of action for people new to the Planner, or who have more complex goals that will require multiple quarters to achieve.
However, if a goal is completed ahead of schedule, another can be created to take its place. Planner users may start the year with eight goals, only to complete ten before the year is through. Goals should be challenging without leading to feeling spread too thin.
Yes. The Planner is designed to help everyone win at work and succeed in life, regardless of their level within a company. Though you may not manage a team, you do manage your own work and make daily decisions on where to spend your time and energy. The Weekly Big 3, Daily Big 3, Ideal Week, and Weekly Preview will help you focus so that you get the right things done.
And though you may not set annual company goals, you will be involved in achieving company or departmental goals. You will also have personal goals. The Annual Goals list and Goal Detail Pages will ensure that you form solid goals for yourself. And they will help you track personal and company goals to completion.
